The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the forefront the issue of vaccine hesitancy.  While it is an often used term, vaccine hesitancy is a complex and context-specific issue that requires a targeted understanding.  In this recorded webinar, we will spend time defining what vaccine hesitancy is, how it is connected to vaccine misinformation, explore vaccine hesitancy in different vaccine-preventable disease contexts (e.g., COVID-19 vs. HPV), and discuss appropriate and evidence-based strategies for addressing vaccine hesitancy in our communities.

This training was originally held on March 14, 2022.

Audience

Public health professionals in all settings, including governmental public health, non-profits, health systems, etc. as well as across disciplines, whether health education, nursing, environmental health, leadership, etc.

Learning Objectives

  • Define vaccine hesitancy, including the 3 Cs
  • Discuss the connection between vaccine hesitancy, vaccine disinformation, and vaccine misinformation
