Public health work often involves dealing with complicated ethical questions. Approaching ethical issues requires intentional strategies and a dedication to upholding ethical practice. This recorded webinar discusses approaches to identifying and addressing ethical issues in public health practice, and the role of an ethics committee in this process.

This training was originally held on June 20, 2022.

Audience

Public health professionals, particularly those in governmental public health (e.g., frontline response staff and nurses)

Learning Outcome

At the conclusion of the educational activity, participants will self-report knowledge gain of ethics-related principles in public health practice using a 4-point Likert scale.

  • Distinguish between ethical questions, legal questions, and personal questions
  • Analyze proposed solutions for their ethical merits
  • Apply strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas
