Advancing diversity, inclusion and workforce competencies can help organizations better address the social determinants of health (SDoH) and improve the lives of individuals with behavioral health conditions. Despite this, public health and behavioral health professionals often overlook the value of improving these practices within their own organizations. But it’s important to understand their role in developing internal capacity to provide equitable, accessible health care and the risks associated with neglecting these key strategies.
In this recorded webinar, Taslim van Hattum, LCSW, MPH, Director, Practice Improvement, National Council for Behavioral Health, and André Blackman, Founder/CEO, Onboard Health, will lead an important discussion intended to help public health and behavioral health organizations enhance diversity, inclusion and workforce competencies to better address the SDoH and improve care.
