Public Health 3.0 / Public Health Accreditation Board Series

A three-part webinar series to assist frontline public health staff work towards achieving Public Health 3.0 and national public health accreditation.

Public health workforce development efforts have long been focused on traditional, disjointed training solutions heavily loaded toward discipline-based content and outmoded approaches. Innovation and multi-sectoral partnerships are needed to equip the public health workforce, particularly those in governmental agencies, with strategic skills to address the upstream social, economic, and community-based factors that impact health and well-being.

Part 2 - Community Engagement

Part 2 of the webinar series will provide methods to identify shared values and leverage a shared vision with community partners in order to contribute to sustainable health improvement efforts. This webinar will also explain how community engagement is a critical component of Public Health 3.0 and national accreditation and will also discuss how these concepts fit together.

Audience

Public health professionals in all settings, including governmental public health, non-profits, health systems, etc. as well as across disciplines, whether health education, nursing, environmental health, leadership, etc.

Learning Objectives

  • Articulate the value of community engagement in achieving Public Health 3.0
  • Discuss best practices to authentically engage communities
