How to Maintain Your CHES/MCHES Certification-Part 2 will review the following information:
  • The purpose of continuing education contact hours (CECH)
  • Monitoring the CECH transcript
  • The process for the Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) credential
  • The structure of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) governing boards
  • Updates in the health education industry
  • Resources in communicating the value for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and MCHES
  • Feedback on the benefits and challenges of sustaining credentials

This session is intended for health educators with existing CHES/MCHES certifications or who are interested in pursuing this credential.

  • Discuss the recertification requirements for Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES).
  • List the key resources available to earn Continuing Education Contact Hours for CHES and MCHES.
  • Summarize the process of reporting credits and ways to monitor individual’s CECH transcript
