This course covers many ratios which can be used for bench marking, analysis, and decision-making in maters related to financial management and budgeting. It provides many tools and resources which can assist new and seasoned managers in assuring the financial health of their department and organization.
Public health professionals in all settings, including governmental public health, non-profits, and health systems, with duties which include financial management.
- Identify key financial ratios used to track and benchmark a health services organization’s performance
- Interpret whether ratio trends are improving or deteriorating over time
- Discuss how ratio and trend analysis tools can be used as the basis for decision making, and corrective action
- Explain the value of using uniform chart of accounts to track expenditures for foundational public health services
